Product Single and Young Remote Workers---iLand
iLand is a schedule planning and reminder product that is designed on both PC and phone. It is aimed at young remote workers from digital industries who live and work alone and want to keep healthy and maintain a regular daily schedule. They want to concentrate on working but often suffer from procrastination, weak self-control ability, unknown time wasted and low from-home work efficiency due to lack of supervision and the sense of not being in a work environment.
Interface on PC: Homepage
The homepage on the PC mainly includes four parts, ‘calendar’ for past recording, ‘notice board’ for important issues group, ‘personal statistics’ for current working status and ‘personal schedule ’ for planing schedules and reminders.
Interface on PC: Colleagues' Status & Group Schedule
‘Colleague Status’ helps users to learn about today’s schedule of colleagues who have close relationships with users when they are online working, predicted time spent online and ‘Do Not Disturb’ for themselves. ‘Contact’ has one button for switching ‘Colleague Status’ to ‘Group Schedule’, which helps users to learn about schedule as group.
Interface on PC: Calendar & Information Management
‘Info Management‘ records and sorts all information from different sources and digital devices. Users could highlight important messagers or information in order to reduce missed communications, as well as reducing distraction in reading various forms of information when working or after working.
Interface on PC: Working Status
When users are working , the product would be 'backstage' to record users' data, status and remind users of important events based on schedule, for example: exercise after work or an important group meeting.
Interface on Mobile Phone
There are some similar but simplified functions in smart phone, which mainly focuses on ' check schedule’, ‘add schedule’, 'check information' and 'reminder' (when users are not using a PC)
This project was inspired from worldwide quarantine caused by Covid-19 with the aim to help single young remote workers from digital fields to improve their lone working experience at home by solving two main aspects, work efficiency and well-being issues.
I used to work as User Interface Designer so I am very good at visual design and interface design. Now comprehensive talent and skills are required, so I graduated and learned skills and mind from user experience design in order to reflect design deeply, have more opportunities in my career and improve adaptability to deal with various cases.
